Valeria Medel murdered "by chance"?

A person shot and killed a deputy's daughter, whom he supposedly confused with another woman. The girl’s mother teared down when she received the news while he was in a session of the Chamber of Deputies.

Valeria Cruz who was 22 years old and was studying medicine, was murdered last Thursday, November 10th in a gym. Her body was delivered to her parents in the early hours of Friday after the state government had looked into the case.

An anonymus complaint helped to locate the authors of the crime. The delinquent known by the nickname “El Richy” was later found dead in the same vehicle in which he allegedly fled. The governor of Veracruz, Miguel Ángel Yunes Linares, explained that the young woman was confused with another similar woman who works out in the same gym, and who is identified as being a member of an organized crime gang.

The serenity with wich the case was solved, generated suspiciousness and The Attorney General’s Office (PGR) was asked to look into the case.

The Mexican newspaper “Milenio” stated that the deputy had been kidnapped by an armed group in 2016 along with a group of people who were murdered. Which can be a good clue that may lead to other results about the case.

It is unbelievable how human life is being treated as something meaningless, and how the government isn´t worried about people killing people “just by chance”. There are so much coincidences, like the previous kidnap and the death of the killer, that it is almost impossible to think that the case was solved within hours.
