Hector Beltrán Leyva, known as "El H" or "El Ingeniero", has died at age of 56 the past November 18. He suffered chest pains, so the police officers transferred him to a hospital located in Toluca.

Beltrán Lleyva was known as the head of the Beltrán Leyva cartel, he became the boss after his brother was shot in 2009.
Hector Beltrán was one of the three brothers in charge of trafficking different types of drugs to the Unated States. The Beltrán brohers were in charge of several routes from Mexico to U.S.
Ten years ago, the Beltrán Leyva's cartel and the Guzman's worked together, but when Alfredo Beltrán was arrested, it was thought that "El Chapo" had informed the army Alfredo's location. After this, the Beltrán brothers declared war to the Sinaloa's cartel.
Later on, the war between these cartels was so bloody that 496 murders were recorded in one month. The problem was so big that the army sent soldiers to solve it, but the drug dealers were so powerful that the army could not do anything about it.
The war was over when Mexican soldiers killed Arturo Beltrán on December 16, 2009.
The Beltrán's cartel continued working, until 2014 when Hector Beltrán was captured in San Miguel de Allende on October the first.
"El Ingeniero" was sent to "Almoloya" and transferred in 2016 to "El Altiplano", both maximum security premises.
The dead of Hector Manuel Beltrán Leyva may mark the end of the Beltrán's cartel, but we really don't know.
