On November 05, 2018 the first migrant caravan reached Mexico City and U.S troops installed barberd wire at the border. The Honduran migrants have been moving towards the Unites States and had stopped at temporary shelters in Mexico City. The President of the United States, Donald Trump, ordered the deployment of thousands of the U.S. Army troops to the border with the objective of “anticipation of the arrival of migrants” heading to the frontier.

This was the first of several caravans of migrants making their way to the U.S. or to claim asylum in Mexico City. Hundred of members have been arriving during the weekend. More than 450 people have been received by shelters in Mexico City. At this moment, the approximate number of migrants is of 7,000 people, of which 5,000 come from Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador. The caravan´s progress in its trek toward U.S. border brings its members within 580 miles of the closest port of entry in Hidalgo, near McAllen, Texas.
Currently, they are at least four separate caravans of Central American migrants spread toward the U.S. border. Many face political and economic instability in their home countries, because they had been the threat of gang violence and this is making that people start believing that migrants are bad people and they just come to make problems. President Donald Trump vowed to stop the caravan at the border with a plan to deploy thousands of military troops at the border; he has likened this as “an invasion”.

The president (Mr. Donald Trump) also recently announced that he is planning to sing an order in which migrants crossing the southern border could get lead to the large-scale detention. He also add that anyone caught crossing illegally into the U.S would be punished from claiming asylum.
