Fitven Fair: The real Venezuela

On the 22nd of November, the 13th International Tourism Fair of Venezuela (Fitven) was inaugurated. The action was made by the Venezuelan government with the help of Minister Stella Lugo. The fair was held from November 22nd to 26th from the Simón Bolívar Park facilities at the Generalissimo Francisco of Miranda Air Base, Caracas, Venezuela's Airport.

Lugo has said that the fair has the purpose of showing the real Venezuela. Everything was achieved with the help of more than 80 national and 200 foreign companies to promote the country's tourism. The fair counted with more than 150 stands and had the participation of 72 countries from Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean.

The stands worked with the help of 3D videos, photos, souvenirs, among other stuff, of which 148 are tourist companies, 20 gastronomic and 20 handicrafts. The most striking and visited booth was the one that exhibited the paradisiacal coasts, as well as the agricultural products that are produced in Miranda such as cocoa, peach, avocado, potato, cala flowers, in addition to the delicious chocolates, in representation of the handmade products. This allowed the creation of a space with a family and fun atmosphere, for native families, as well as for tourists.

According to the Venezuelan government, the "motor tourism" is one of the central axes that will contribute to the economic recovery plan. In addition, the president, Nicolás Maduro, said this was a plan to face the "economic war" that has led the country to a crisis since 13 years ago. Each year, the event allows Venezuela to show the world its tourism potential despite the current situation.
